Description

Benoît Laignel, a professor at the University of Rouen Normandie, presents the work of the Normandy IPCC in this video. He shows that the effects of climate change can already be felt in Normandy, and that they are likely to increase over the course of the coming decades. He finishes by underlining the usefulness of local scientific expertise to raise awareness and help with decision-making.

Learning Objectives:

- Be aware that sources of scientific information linked to climate change and its impact are available on a local level
- Identify what can be modelled at local level in terms of the impacts of climate change
- Understand what this scientific knowledge can bring to a territory
